Birthday Celebration at Disneyland Resort
What a MAGICAL experience for a child to have their birthday party celebrated at DISNEYLAND! As a parent it was also magical for us, seeing our little girl just so elated with her birthday cakes and everybody singing to her, what a breath taking moment.
Lets get this party started! My husband booked the 1-Bedroom Suite at the Classic Disneyland Hotel, The night before Alani's Birthday. The perks for staying at a Disneyland hotel, you get early admission into the parks, Also know as Extra Magic hour (an hour before the park opens) Registered Disneyland Resort Hotel guests enjoy (during everyday of hotel stay) admission on select attractions, stores, entertainment, and dining locations in Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park for one full hour before the parks open to the general public on select days. To enhance the early entry experience, it is strongly recommended that guest arrive at least one hour and 15 minutes prior to regular park opening.

The current Extra Magic Hour Schedule allows registered Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests with Valid theme park admission, access to:
Disneyland Parks: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, one hour prior to park opens
Disney California Adventure Park: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, one hour prior to park opens
There are three towers in the Disneyland Hotel Resort, Fantasy Tower, which is also the main entrance, Frontier Tower, and Adventure tower, which was the tower we stayed at. It was wonderful and the view we had in our bedroom and our living room, was outstanding. It looked over Downtown Disney. We were able to see the fireworks from Disneyland and World of Colors from Disney California Adventure.
During our stay at the Disneyland Resort, we knew it was the busiest time of the year, the holiday Season. The hotel was decorated so beautifully. There was a huge gingerbread Disneyland castle. It was located in Fantasy Tower in the main Lobby. The whole lobby smelled like gingerbread cookies. It was amazing! They also had Santa Claus in Fantasy Tower as well. There was a Disney photographer taking pictures of the kids with Santa. I was very happy to be able to use our photo pass and get the photos directly onto our phone thanks to the Disneyland app.
We finally started heading up to our room, we were amazed by everything in the suite, all the hidden Mickeys in each room, the coasters, the rug, the pillows, the knobs and the sink. My husband and I couldn't not stop looking around. It was paradise and believe me, I did not want to leave the next day! The 1-Bedroom suite comes with 2 Queen-size beds and 1 queen size sleeper sofa, 1 1/2 bathrooms, two closets and our view from our room was Downtown Disney. It was gorgeous!
The best part of the suite, was the backboard of the beds. The Disneyland Castle with the lighting sky and fireworks (do you see the hidden Mickey!)when you turn on the lamp on the nightstand, the Disneyland theme song comes on, it was so MAGICAL! OHHHHH and they leave two Ghirardille milk chocolate squares on each bed! y'all, I ate them all that night!
The day of Alani's Birthday celebration, no we didn't do the Extra Magic hour at Disneyland. We all slept in, I told y'all I didn't want to leave the room. When we finally got ready and gathered our belongings, we headed down stairs. I stopped at Disney's Fantasia shop inside Fantasy Tower, I wanted to get Alani Her BIRTHDAY button, Remember you don't have to go to CITY HALL in Disneyland and wait in another long line to get a birthday button, you should be able to get them in any cashier register in any store, just ask cast members for one and they would be delighted to get you one! what an adorable Birthday souvenir and its FREE!!!
My Husband made reservations at The Plaza Inn, in Disneyland, for Alani's Birthday Celebration. Reservations at the Plaza Inn for Cake Cutting are only at 2:30 pm, each location is different so make sure to double check times and how many people are able to be in your group. The Plaza Inn limit is 19 people in a group and thats how many we had.
My Husband ordered a Mickey Mouse 10" cake, CHURRO flavor and a 6" Star Wars cake for himself, it was a Chocolate cake with Chocolate mousse. He really did deserve that cake for himself and more. Before Cake Cutting, we went on a bunch of rides and made sure Alani took a nap before her Celebration, we didn't want her to be so grumpy during her celebration.

It was finally 2:30pm, time to CELEBRATE Alani's Birthday and eat some cake, cake,cake! We headed to the Plaza Inn and checked in for our reservations, the whole back room was reserved for us, I felt like VIP. Our hostess for the Cake Cutting was just sooo amazing, my Husband is a huge jokers and she was taking it like a champ. May was the sweetest and the funniest Hostess ever, she went out of her way to get everybody a "I'm Celebrating Alani" buttons and another Happy birthday for Alani.
I have said this before and I will say it again, CASTMEMBERS are the reason why there is so much Magic in Disneyland! Thank you for making our little girls Birthday Celebrating so magical! When she brought out the Cake on a cart, music started playing in the Restaurant. She shouted "Attention everyone! we have a very special Birthday, It's Alani's Birthday TODAY!" The whole restaurant started singing the "Happy Birthday" Song to Alani. It was very Special for us, I tried so hard to keep my tears from coming out. It felt so special and so Magical.
May did an amazing job, she cut everybody a piece of the 10" Mickey Mouse Churro cake. It taste just like a Churro, it was fantastic, It's a must try. Whoever had any room left tried the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, I mean you can never go wrong with chocolate. The Chocolate cake was Outstanding! We had so much cake left over, we had three choices, toss it, take it with us at that moment, or wait until we actually leave the park and pick it up all boxed up. We obviously picked it up later. We still wanted to enjoy Disney with family and friends and didn't want to carry all that cake with us in the crowed parks.
It was the best decision to have Alani's Birthday celebration at Disneyland. We had so much fun and it was a new experience for all of us. We were so lucky to have all our family and friends there and they are all annual pass holders, so that made everything so easy. More Pros for this mom, I didn't have to cook, I didn't have to decorate my house, and I didn't have to clean up after. Disneyland does everything for you, and all you have to do is pay for the cake and they reserve everything and make everything MAGICAL!
A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY HUSBAND!!! He planned the party, He reserved our place at the Plaza Inn, he ordered our Princess her cakes, he booked the room, he made sure everything was ready and got Alani a new dress for her big day. He is an amazing Father and would do anything for his little girl! I love you Sonny, Thank you for being an amazing Father and Husband! We are lucky to have you in our lives.
