Princess Leia DIY Santa hat

It's the most wonderful time of the year, there's Christmas parties, ugly Christmas sweaters, eggnog, hot cocoa, Gingerbread houses, Decorating the Christmas tree, but the most important thing to do is, watch STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI!!!

I wanted to bring the holiday spirit into Star Wars. I Looked everywhere for Star wars Christmas attire, but nothing really stood out for me. I already had a Yoda Santa hat, which I love, it has Yoda's ears on the side. I wanted something that would stand out, just like my Yoda hat! Thats when I had the Idea to make a Princess Leia Santa Hat, this would be something that would stand out for sure!

Lets Begin!

Materials:

  • Santa Hat (99 cent store)

  • Black wig (99 cent store, $1.99)

  • Snap clips (99 cent sore, I only used 4 snap clips)

  • Glue gun and Glue sticks

Place the wig flat on the table and split it the hair down the middle. Get your scissors ready and start cutting down the middle of the wig, you'll have two strips of hair and some of the hair will fall off, but don't worry theres enough to make Princess Leia's Buns.

Grab the top of the wig (where the hairnet is at) and start turning it. Glue every side while turning the hair, so the bun will stick together. Glue the ends of the wig behind the bun, so you won't have anything sticking out.

Figure out where you want the buns to be at on the Santa's hat before gluing it. Once you are happy with the placement of the buns, glue them onto the hat. I used two snap clips on each side, I clipped the hair and the white part of the hat together. Once I did that to each side, I made sure the clips were also glued onto the hat and hair. I wanted to make sure those things did not fall.

And there you have it, your very own Princess Leia Santa hat! Super easy and super CHEAP to make! Everybody at the Christmas parties or theaters will be saying, "The Christmas Spirit is Strong with this one!"
