Ramone's House of Body Art

Our Fellow Latino in Radiator Springs, Ramone is also celebrating Dia de Los Muertos! Out side of Ramone's House of Body Art, there's a sugar skull car! It's pretty awesome. There's yellow and orange flowers, usually used for the day of the dead and you can't forget the Papel Picado. Just wait until you see the inside of the shop!

I love how much Disney is introducing Latino culture into its parks, I've said this many times. They made a beautiful dia de Los muertos altar for Doc Hudson. For those of you that don't know Doc passes away in Cars 3 (spoiler alert). The details on the altar are amazing! I love everything, I didn't want to leave! FYI there's a hidden Mickey on the left wall. Here are some elements of this beautiful Altar, if you didn't know.

* Picture: A picture of the evoked relative is placed in the altar to make him present and revive his image.

* Flowers: The altar is decorated with fresh flowers as it is believed that their scent will make the returning souls feel welcomed and happy. The flowers used to decorate the altars are known as Day of the dead flower

* Different Levels: In some areas altars are made with two levels that symbolize heaven and earth.

* An Arch: Symbolizes the entrance to the world of the dead. In the places where it's set it can be made with cempasuchil flowers

* Papel Picado: The papel picado or chiseled paper are paper flags chiseled with saints' figures or skulls and skeletons that are placed like a table cloth in the altar. To some people they represent the element air for the way they move.

* Candles: Candles show the souls their way to the altar and back to the dead world; they symbolize the light, hope and faith.
